The Angry Super Saiyan! With Vegeta refusing to cooperate, they are forced to take on Buu as individuals, but are clearly outclassed. Battle at the Highest Level! Ginyu has Frieza's men bury the dragon balls then sets out with Jeice towards Goku. Now knowing Yakon's ability, Goku becomes Super Saiyan once again and emits a powerful aura, forcing Yakon to suck up a huge amount of light and explode. Trunks tries to help his father, but is also easily defeated. The candy Vegito is just as fast as Super Vegito, and due to its tiny size, is impossible for Buu to hit. Toei has redubbed, recut, and cleaned up the animation of the original 1989 animated series. Cell successfully persuades Vegeta to let him find and absorb Android #18, but Trunks is determined to prevent this and delivers his own beating to Cell. As Cell attempts to absorb Android 17, Android 16 steps up to fight Cell, stating that they have almost equal power. Android #16 asks to be taken back to Capsule Corporation where he can be fixed. Gohan, who is now married to Videl, has decided not to enter, but his daughter, Pan, will fight. Becoming his grotesque, ugly third form, Frieza once again gains the upper hand and begins obliterating Piccolo with a rapid finger beam blast. It turns out that Vegito is somehow still in full control of his new, candy body, and that he is just as powerful as he was before, and can even still talk. The Time for Reunification has Come! Goku then makes a grave and buries Vegeta, setting his sights on Frieza himself - preparing for his toughest battle yet. Vegeta calculates his attack and avoids destroying the entire Earth and also manages to take off Cell's right arm. Vegeta effortlessly pummels Ginyu, and an attempt by Ginyu to get Vegeta's body is thwarted by Goku who intercedes, leaving Ginyu back to his original body and Goku in his. Meanwhile Goku and Gohan are still training. But with Piccolo's genes, Cell easily regenerates his arm. Mr. Satan has finally had enough, and he speaks to the people of earth. Super Gotenks 3! The evil tyrant attempts to destroy this second Super Saiyan, but has no success. Gohan's match with Shin's subordinate Kibito then begins. Gohan the Teacher! As Piccolo completes his training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber and Vegeta takes his place, Goku and Gohan are spending their days relaxing at home. While inside Vegito, Buu takes control of his body and boasts that he will use his body to destroy him from the inside, but Vegito uses his energy to isolate all of Buu into one spot and pound him. Everybody's Spirit Bomb Completed! While Trunks seems to take more advantage, Goten turns Super Saiyan to free himself from the his opponent's grasp when he was not allowed to do so. The new and improved Super Buu then fights Gohan, and it's clear that Buu has the advantage. Using his Super Saiyan strength, Gohan manages to pull the Z-Sword from its resting place, finding it to be incredibly heavy. The three fly away and manage to hide from the pursuing Dodoria, who is soon after attacked by Vegeta. Therefore, although it's technically not possible to know his actual birthday, it is certainly plausible that Gohan was chronologically 9 years old when he fought Cell. Hearing about this over the radio, Goku asks Piccolo if it is possible to separate with Kami, so he can use the Dragon Balls to revive all the people Cell killed (as they disappeared since they fused together). Piccolo vs. Android 17! The Saiyans soon learn of their trump card and scoffs at the notion until Krillin informs the duo of Goku's special training. At this point, Goku decides to use his ultimate technique - the Spirit Bomb. With #17 and #18 gone, Trunks kills the weaker Imperfect Cell and peace finally is restored to the future. After some dubious persuasion from Goku, Old Kai reveals he has the ability to draw out someone's true power beyond their limits, though this turns out to be a lengthy process that can take over a day to complete. The Final Kamehame-Ha! Zarbon wonders why Dodoria hasn't returned, but Frieza is unconcerned. The day of the tournament comes, and old friends catch up. Meanwhile, as Goku and the others get something to eat, they encounter a pair of mysterious participants, Shin and Kibito, who Piccolo determine as not being from Earth. Vegeta reminisces about all of the fights he and Goku were in. He manages to wound Vegeta's eye in his battered state, but he ends up with Vegeta trying to crush him in his hand. However, Frieza reappears and, though badly damaged from the Spirit Bomb, he is still powerful enough to take them all out. The Supreme Kai transports himself, Dende, and Old Kai to a distant planet so they will be out of Goku and Vegeta's way, along with a crystal ball that allows them to watch the battle. After rerouting Buu through Kami's palace, due to Buu being extremely unhappy and throwing tantrums every now and then, Piccolo takes Buu to the Time chamber, and Gotenks fights Buu after a warm-up round and playing around. Trunks returns to the future and is reunited with Bulma. An All-Out Kamehameha! Piccolo attempts to stall for time by telling Evil Buu to wait until all earthlings are killed, instructing Krillin to bring Goten and Trunks to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to make use of what little time they have. Come Out and Play, Vegeta! The others arrive just in time to save him, and Goku eventually persuades the androids to move to a new location to fight after a large portion of the city is destroyed. Not even Supreme Kai can stop Goku and Vegeta’s battle. After absorbing Vegito, Buu notices that he has not taken on any of his characteristics. Vegeta then steps in, but that finds he is no match for Buu. After various attempts to try and get out of the fight, Mr. Satan decides to pretend to lose and have Trunks hold back his attack in order to keep up his appearance, though even Trunks' weakest punch manages to send Satan flying, and into a wall. Piccolo and Gotenks have been attempting to scream loud enough to create an inter-dimensional hole like Buu did, but they have no success. The Clash of Goku vs. Vegeta. Frieza and King Cold Strike Back! Ginyu tries again to switch with Vegeta, but Goku throws a Namekian frog in the path, leaving Ginyu in the frog's body. It turns out that Vegeta purposefully fell under Babidi’s magic in order to make Goku get serious. Enraged by the death of his son, Vegeta unleashes a furious barrage of ki blasts at Cell, but is easily defeated and is only saved from certain death when Gohan intercepts Cell's blast and takes the full force of the attack. Android 16 Breaks His Silence! Suddenly, a thought form of Super Buu himself appears. Close to the end of the Dragonball Z series he gets married to Videl and has a daughter named Pan. Babidi announces that he will have Buu destroy the planet unless Piccolo, Goten, and Trunks are brought to them within five days. Piccolo, too, has been covered by a pink blob. Android #17 then kills Doctor Gero, by severing and then crushing his head. The Monster Goes Into Motion! Vegeta comes to suspect that Goku has become the first Super Saiyan in over 1000 years. Goku returns to his normal state, collapsing from exhaustion. This is the most varied battle out of all of them. What Happened, Piccolo? Dende suggests they can use the Namekian dragon balls, but at that moment, Goku contacts them from Other World through King Kai once more. In order to buy Trunks some time, Goku builds up a large amount of energy, which also uses some of his remaining time on Earth, to transform into his ultimate form, Super Saiyan 3, with its immense power being felt even in the world of the Kais. He tells Vegeta that it's his turn, but Vegeta declines, deciding that he is no match for Buu. Unfazed by Dabura's attacks, Majin Buu uses his unique ability to turn Dabura into a cookie and eats him. Buu thrashes Vegeta, but every time he gets knocked down, Vegeta gets up, ready for more. Beyond Super Saiyan! Gohan escapes before Buu explodes, and he takes the others with him out of the blast radius. As using all three wishes would mean they would have to wait another year before they can use the Dragon Balls again, Goku warps over to Bulma's group and convinces Shenron to postpone the other two wishes, shortening that time to four months. A Moonlit Night Awakens Gohan! Vegeta takes Goku's last Senzu bean and sets off to fight Majin Buu himself. After a brief battle, Cell begins to attack using techniques 'inherited' from other characters--first Tien's Multi-Form technique, then Piccolo's Makankosappo, and finally Frieza's heat-seeking ki disk attack. Goku, Frieza, and Ginyu Again?! He manages to blast a hole through him. After witnessing the death of Android #16 at the hands of Cell, Gohan's anger is ignited and causes him ascend to the level of Super Saiyan 2. Bye-bye, Everyone! Vegeta tricks Goku and flies away, leaving Goku to fight alone. Yamcha's Struggle! This deals a great amount of damage to Vegeta. Frieza dodges Gohan's attack but quickly finds himself on the receiving end once again - the young half Saiyan unleashes a massive ki blast that even the tyrant himself has difficulty deflecting. The Saiyan prince powers up to unbelievable levels of strength, which leave Gohan, Krillin, and Piccolo in awe - but no matter how much he powers up, and how many deadly attacks he dishes out, Frieza dodges and deflects everything. Now calling himself Super Vegito, he continues to thrash Super Buu. Frieza's Power-Level One Million?! Rather than let him rampage unchecked, Piccolo destroys the moon, making any further transformations impossible, and removes his tail, before leaving to begin his own training. Another 130 days later, the Namekian dragon balls are used to revive both Tien and Chiaotzu, and are then used to teleport all of the Namekians (except Piccolo and Kami) to a new planet. After a long struggle, Vegito breaks through the shield and stops Buu. Even the android's energy absorption attack proves futile, as Vegeta tears off the android's arms, making the technique impossible to use. The Ship Resting in Yunzabit! He gives Buu until the count of ten until he destroys him, and during this countdown, Buu notices a part of himself that Vegito tore off down on the ground. The Junior Champ Is Finally Decided! They realize the craft is voice-activated in the native Namekian language. He realizes that Uub doesn't even know how to fly, so Goku decides to train him. Meanwhile, Goku has arrived at the end of Snake Way, meeting King Kai on his planet, which, despite its small size, is 10 times Earth's gravity. A Reborn Gohan Heads for Earth! The Spirit Bomb hits with full force, finally destroying the evil, childlike Majin Buu permanently. At the Lookout, Dende heals Gohan of his injuries and then summons Shenron. Piccolo takes Gohan into his custody and flies off, intending to train the boy in the martial-arts. He surprises everyone by using the Solar Flare technique, and then flees. The remaining Z Fighters invade Babidi's spaceship followed by the Supreme Kai. Buu Overwhelmed! The young man must face Kibito, but realizing that he has lost his headscarf, his classmates discover that Great Saiyaman is none other than Gohan. As the tyrant stares in awe at his more-powerful opponent, he realizes that his worst nightmare has finally come true - the legendary Super Saiyan has been born. A Last-Minute Resurrection Wish! Goku begins to train at 20G as he takes off for Namek. Everyone is Surprised! Thinking that Gotenks cannot stop Buu, Piccolo destroys the door to the outside world, which traps the three of them in the Chamber for all eternity. The Androids Awaken! As Buu, Mr. Satan, and the dog start becoming closer, Mr. Satan decides to stop taking advantage of Buu's innocence and become his earnest friend. Buu finally decides that he's had enough, and he tries to absorb Goku and Vegeta. As the dust settles, Android #20 is nowhere to be seen, and it is assumed that he plans to return to the laboratory to awaken Androids #17 and #18 - the androids causing havoc in Trunk's timeline. After saying goodbye to everyone, Goku returns to the afterlife, leaving the Fusion training in the hands of Piccolo. Realizing this, Vegeta finally decides to step into the fight. At that moment however, Goku finally reaches the end of Snake Way, is teleported back to Earth by Kami, and flies straight to the battlefield on Nimbus. Krillin then asks Shenron to use the second wish to remove the bombs from inside Androids #17 and #18. Frieza, Ruler of the Universe! Having seen through their identity, Android 18 launches a Destructo Disk which cuts "Mighty Mask" torso in half. Seeing this opportunity, Android #20 emerges from his hiding place, only to absorb Vegeta's blast and run away before Vegeta can catch up. Piccolo then decides to begin training the boy personally. Gohan, Protect the Four-Star Ball! Gotenks' cockiness almost leads him to confront Buu again, but ends up retreating when the Fusion time runs out. Goku, Back in Action! Seeing the opportunity, Gohan finally releases his full strength and overpowers Cell's wave, obliterating Cell and saving the Earth from destruction. On the way, they pick up Mr. Satan and the dog, Bee. Once it begins, the match becomes a super fierce battle that surpasses reason, and the audience is astonished. As Buu celebrates his apparent victory, the Vegito candy unexpectedly begins to attack Buu. The police warn Videl of the situation. On Earth, the Grand Elder passes away again, but before his death, he gives his power to one of his eldest sons, making him the new Grand Elder, and thereby preserving the power of the Namekian dragon balls. Stunning Youngsters! After killing Jeice, Vegeta sets his sights on Ginyu (still in Goku's body). In a desperate attempt to defeat Goku, Frieza hurls an attack down upon Namek itself, in an effort to destroy the planet and everyone on it. Gohan ado et Gohan vs Bojack, Cell, Dabla et Boo T3. Goku entrusts Krillin with the remaining energy from the Spirit Bomb. Gohan soon follows her after transforming into the Great Saiyaman. The Elder speaks with them about the Dragon Balls, his ailing health, and the need for help to his Namekian children. He is about to finish Gohan, when Bee comes running up. Everyone seems to be bewildered by Majin Buu's childlike behavior. The battle becomes even more intense, culminating with Goku flying high into the sky building up a powerful Kamehameha. A Fury Beyond Super Saiyan! Back on earth, Kid Buu creates a powerful ball of energy and throws it at the earth, intending to destroy it. Dodoria filled with rage, rushes into the fray to make the locals regret the day they ever crossed Frieza. Meanwhile, Goku continues to be thrashed by Frieza. While Mr. Satan is trembling from having seen how she fought against "Mighty Mask", Android 18 suggests to that she will let him have the championship for the price of 20 million Zeni. Bulma soon realizes that she had left the Dragon Radar in her aeroplane, and manages to inform Trunks about it. The battle between Goku and Cell continues, with the two fighters reaching a pace that is barely visible to most of the onlookers. With the Ginyu Force completely defeated, Vegeta places Goku in a rejuvenation tank inside Frieza's spaceship, gives battle armor to Krillin and Gohan, then falls asleep. The strongest fighters in the world are welcome to compete, but if the monster wins ? Gohan and Krillin rescue Bulma from a dinosaur attack, and take the dragon radar to find where Frieza took the dragon balls to. With less than thirty minutes left on Earth due to the energy spent in Super Saiyan 3, Goku wastes no time teaching Goten and Trunks the key to the Fusion technique, the somewhat embarrassing-looking Fusion Dance. Sensing he has won, the monster states that his name is Cell and reveals that he was created by Dr. Gero. Krillin throws the Spirit Bomb at Vegeta, but the Saiyan Prince manages to dodge it at the last second. On the Grand Kai's planet, Krillin and Yamcha are training with King Kai. He begins rushing towards the battlefield, and along the way encounters an ailing Nail, on the brink of death. Bulma decides to run it through some tests and see if it's still viable. After healing the two with a Senzu Bean from Korin, Goku engages Nappa in battle. For his part, Videl is opposed to Spopovich and dominates the fight. He deals a lot of damage to Buu, but as the fight goes on, his hits become weaker and weaker until they have virtually no effect at all. Kibito Kai and Old Kai take Dende there, and the Namekians are waiting with the seven balls. There were no plans to continue it's run and was replaced with the then-new adaptation of Toriko. Get Angry, Gohan! The Hunt for Dr. Gero! The Final Trump Card! A bus has been hijacked and Videl is called into action. Tien overpowers the Saibaman but before he's able to finish it off, Vegeta destroys it as incentive to the remaining five. Discovering that their people are being located via their scouters, the Namekians destroy the scouters. I Am Your Brother! The young boy was given his great-grandfather's name, his mother took a vested interest in his studies, wanting him to become a scholar despite GokÅ«'s interests in the contrary. Goku decides to train Uub to defend the Earth when he's gone. The Enemy is Goku's Brother?! Power Up, Krillin! But Cell sneaks up behind him and absorbs him, reaching his Semi-Perfect form. Vegeta's Covert Maneuvers! Yamu and Spopovich hold Gohan down, while they plunge a device into Gohan to drain his energy. With the tournament grounds in a panic, Goku and Vegeta square off. While Goku and Majin Vegeta's fight gets underway, energy builds up for Majin Buu each time Goku takes damage. Goku Arrives at Last! Goku is training with Goten when Bulma and Vegeta, who have a new daughter, Bulla, show up after not seeing him in five years. After a particularly nasty insult and a kick to the face, Uub has snapped, and is now ready to fight. This turns out to be the same reason why Trunks cannot defeat Cell. After Piccolo has finished explaining, Vegeta flies off stating that he wants to surpass the power of a Super Saiyan. Peace for the Future! 12:07. Piccolo survived being broken thanks to his regenerative abilities. Buu calls each of the blobs back to him, which merge with him, changing his appearance and giving him access to all of Piccolo's and Gokenks' memories, abilities and power. Buu lands a powerful hit on Gotenks that sends him flying back into The Lookout. They have another battle, this time with Vegeta stronger and prepared. However, upon doing this, Goku uses up the remainder of his time on Earth. After a period of searching, Yamcha becomes the first victim of the androids, after being impaled and having his energy absorbed by Android #20. A Nightmare Revisited The Immortal Monster Majin Buu! He tells them what's going on, and that to defeat Buu, they need to raise their hands up and offer their energy. The Initial Buu's Nefarious Strike. Miracles Happen Once... Will Goku and He Make the Ultimate Combination? With Buu once again ready to fight, Gotenks only has a few minutes until he separates. Videl discovers the truth that Gohan is Great Saiyaman. A Bittersweet Victory! Back on The Lookout, Buu is hungry and excited at the prospect of turning more people into food, and so he turns everyone on the lookout into chocolate. Buu tries again, but Goku suddenly appears and sends a disk of energy at the monster. Frieza fires a beam straight at Goku, but Piccolo jumps in the way and takes the beam to the chest, which knocks him unconscious. Witness the Power of Perfection! Android 16 rips Cell's tail off so that he can't absorb the androids. Found! Mr. Satan accepts the conditions, and Android 18 loses to him on purpose, and he gains the championship. To play up the drama of the situation, Gotenks acts like he's out of ideas, and Buu begins beating up the fused Saiyan. A Creeping Conspiracy! While hiding, Gohan and Krillin watch the fight and try to come up with a plan to cut off Vegeta's tail. Eventually it is Goten's turn, and although he is nervous to be in the ring, Goten easily wins as well. The leader, Dai Kaio, was then absorbed by that form, but this absorption changed Buu into the fat, happy Buu that came out of the ball. Videl and Gohan's fights in the tournament are similarly trimmed ⦠Kid Buu kicks Fat Buu aside, and Goku throws the Spirit Bomb. Cell persuades Vegeta into letting him absorb Android 18 because Vegeta would like to fight Cell in his perfect form as Saiyans love fighting. Goku Returns to the Next World. As the Earth is about to be destroyed, Supreme Kai appears and instantly transmits Goku, Vegeta, Dende, Mr. Satan, and Bee to the world of the Kais. The Strongest Super Saiyan! Cell Invades the Airwaves! Unfortunately, they forget to take Mr. Satan and Bee along. Goku and Vegeta's Infiltration Mission! Trunks then supplies Goku with a heart antidote that Future Bulma made for him, instructing him to take it when the virus attacks him. He is the son of Gokuand Chi-Chi. A Final Showdown at the Summit! Piccolo abandoned his fight against Shin because he discovered that the latter is actually the Supreme Kai through Kibito. Entering the World Martial Arts Tournament! The rest of the Z Fighters gather to defend the Earth from Frieza, despite knowing the odds are against them. Babidi changes Stage 2 to the pitch-dark world, the Dark Star, which is advantageous to Yakon. He then throws the Senzu beans to Trunks, who distributes them to his injured comrades. Vegeta also sets off to find the lab, but with the intentions of fighting the androids as a demonstration of his power. He then tells Gohan to deliver the finishing blow to Cell, but Gohan insists that Cell must suffer first. It is revealed that whereas Goku's transformation was triggered by the desire to protect his friends and family, Vegeta's was triggered purely by the desire to become stronger, as well as his anger at being surpassed by Goku. The ship belongs to none other than our hero Goku, but is he too late to help? Goku on the Ropes! Goku fills King Kai in on the situation on Namek. As the android runs in fear, Vegeta launches his Big Bang Attack and finishes the battle, leaving nothing but the android's head intact. But as the match goes on, he grows more and more accustomed to his hidden power, and it is finally released, so he is able to go toe-to-toe with Goku in his base state. Dragon Ball Z Kai (2009â2015) Episode List. The two of them arrive at the battlefield where Goku and Frieza are continuing to duke it out - with Goku quickly outclassed by the powered-up tyrant. Despite appearing to be in his normal state, Gohan, in actuality, is using the power of Super Saiyan 2 without the burden the latter transformation places on his body. Cell then utilizes his bulked-up form, but the increase in muscle mass lowers his speed greatly and as a result none of his attacks connect with Gohan - who counters with a single blow to the stomach, causing Cell to regurgitate Android #18 and revert back to his semi-perfect form. Feeling he cannot defeat Buu with conventional means, Vegeta says his farewells to Trunks before knocking both children out, instructing Piccolo to take them far away. The series picks up five years after Dragon Ball (however the manga would keep the same title for the entire run) and follows Gokuâs adventures after he learns he is in fact, a Saiyan ⦠As such, Evil Buu manages to reflect Buu's candy attack back at him, turning him into chocolate before eating him and gaining his power, giving him a more complete form. Transformation! 3 days later, the news continues to report about Cell's killings. As Goku and Vegeta set the pods down, they observe Super Buu changing into a different being. While this is going on, Fat Buu is buying them time by fighting Kid Buu, but it's not going well. With it revealed that they were two people fighting as one, Goten and Trunks are disqualified. Gohan Pulverizes the Cell Juniors, Having reached a new form of Super Saiyan, any hesitation to fight back has been removed, as Gohan holds nothing back to destroy the Cell⦠When Krillin and Vegeta arrive, Trunks informs everyone of the Martial Arts Tournament held by Cell. Everyone decides to ride in a hovercraft to reach Cell so that he will not be able to sense them approaching him. While on their journey to Namek, Gohan and Krillin practice image training. When the elder Namek of the village denies him the dragon ball, Vegeta slays all the Nameks and finds the dragon ball in one of the huts. He finds it and flies back to his friends. Buu creates another massive energy ball and throws it down at the planet. Vegeta is in awful need of help from his former enemies in order to battle the Ginyu Force. A Heart of Evil Awakened Vegeta, Prince of Destruction, I am the Strongest! Gohan has won and the Cell Games are finally over. Countdown to the Planet's Destruction! Another Super Saiyan!
