Awesome stuff but the wind was ice cold and we had to keep moving. These were peaks #5 and 6 for me and I cannot wait to bag my next one. A 6 mile round trip hike to Giant with an elevation gain of 3050 feet or an 8.6 mile round trip and roughly 4040 feet in elevation gain combining Giant & Rocky Peak Ridge. Done. Rocky Peak Ridge is 1.2 miles to the east and Giant Mountain is often combined with Rocky Peak. The next day, we ascended Giant, (12th at 4627 ft.), and then hiked over to Rocky Peak Ridge to the east, (20th at 4420 ft.). Finally, after 3.2 hours of hiking, I reached the wiiiindy summit.
